With 45 million hits in under 8 days, Billie Eilish is one of the top influencers for today's teens. What, however, is she promoting?
Within the first 10 seconds of her newly released track "All the Good Girls Go to Hell," you can easily see that she's portraying Lucifer as the fallen angel coming down to earth.
If the title alone doesn't give us a clue as to her Satan-driven message, the lyrics certainly will.
Can't commit to anything but a crime
Peter's on vacation, an open invitation
Pearly gates look more like a picket fence
Once you get inside 'em
Got friends but can't invite them
My turn to ignore ya
Don't say I didn't warn ya
'Cause even God herself has enemies
And once the water starts to rise
And heaven's out of sight
She'll want the devil on her team
You know I'm not your friend without some greenery
Walk in wearing fetters
Peter should know better
Your cover up is caving in
Man is such a fool
Why are we saving him?
Poisoning themselves now
Begging for our help, wow!
As you can see, this is NOT an artist you want your kids listening to.
Watch the video here if you'd like to see the evidence.
I was asked about Billie and if she's "safe" to listen to about a year ago when she first started to surface in the music scene. However, I didn't know how to take her at the time. Sevearl months later, I started to see the red flags.
Back in January, she released a song called "Bury a Friend" which today has almost 252 million views. You can watch it here.
So there you have it. We need to add another "celebrity" to our prayer list and make sure her message does not enter our children's brains.
1. Talk to your kids about this artist and why she isn't a positive option.
2. Break down the lyrics above and compare what Satan says (lies) to what God says (truth). You can start with what I highlighted in PINK.
3. Check out this positive music list loaded with life-giving songs full of hope and inspiration.
