Glorification of Evil Permeates Pop Culture

If you need to know who to make sure your kids DO NOT emulate, look no further than Nerdist's glorification of evil with their article, "Satan's Most Famous Pop-Culture Kids."

In case you are not aware of Nerdist, it is an online news site of all things nerdy and geeky. For people into Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, DC, or anything else, they promote themselves as the center of pop culture news.

As noted in this article, pop culture "harbored an obsession with the idea of a child of Satan living among us" and therefore ranked the top, or "most famous" of Satan's offspring.

As if being a child of Satan is a desirable or fasionable thing. It's not. It's dangerous. Just ask someone who was lured in

Not being a comic book, Marvel, or DC fan, I can still easily see the deception just in the photo above. The devil horns in the hair, Satan with the 5 pointed demonic star on his chest telling God to stand back and that He can't come back to Earth unless He gets permission from Satan himself. How backwards and twisted is that.

The comics are no longer what I remember with Snoopy and the gang that I got in the Sunday paper when I was kid. Parents, be diligent on what "comics" are vying for your children's attention and talk to them about the decption in these comics. Ask them what is wrong with the picture they are painting so your kids will understand how to decipher truth from lies.

  • Kids get lured into exploring Satanic themes that are presented as trendy, harmless, or cute.

  • As the Truth states, "reject every kind of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:22)

  • Opt for a positive media diet in your home.

  • Encourage your kids to create and support positive character qualities in pop culture.

Don't let me so much as dream of evil or thoughtlessly fall into bad company. And these people who only do wrong - don't let them lure me with their sweet talk! (Psalm 141:4, MSG).
