In this day and age that we are living in, it's hard for men to be emotionally present. Churches don't help equip men on how to be Godly husbands and fathers and many of today's TV shows and movies depict men as idiots. I can't imagine the pressure put on men today in regards to constantly having to worry about providing for their families and living counter to the current attack on masculinity.
Many fathers worry about providing the best possible home life for their wife and kids, but in working non stop to provide this "perfect environment" many kids and wives are left with minimal memories which include dad.
Accoriding to the upcoming movie Kingdom Men Rising, Tony Evans wants to call men back to their mission and how churches can rise to the occasion of equiping dads on how they can have the biggest impact in their homes. Produced by Lifeway films and Tony Evans films, this movie will help encourage dads who desperately want to be the men God called them to be.
According to the movie's main website, "Through the stories of several men, the film drives us toward God’s ultimate purpose for masculinity and design for men. Featuring Grammy-award winning entertainer Kirk Franklin, Heisman trophy winner Tim Brown, former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Jon Kitna, Super Bowl winning coach Tony Dungy, NFL vice president Troy Vincent, author Priscilla Shirer, and others, Kingdom Men Rising provides an honest portrayal of today’s man that is countered by God’s original design."
